Teapigs Matcha smoothie



  • 500g caster sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons of matcha
  • 750 ml of water





1. Put the sugar and matcha in a pan with 750ml water.

2. Stir and heat gently until the sugar dissolves and matcha is nice and smooth, then simmer for a couple of minutes.

3. Churn the liquid in an ice cream machine to sorbet consistency.

4. Serve a couple of scoops per person sprinkle with a little matcha.

Alternatively, pour the liquid into a freezer safe container and freeze until set. Break it up and blend in a food processor until smooth. Freeze and blend again for a smooth consistency.
