Meet the Team

Cillian Molloy

Managing Director

BRIEF BIO:Cillian joined the Wholefoods team in January 2015 as Managing Director, taking over from his predecessor Rosemary Byrne. Originally from Mayo Cillian came to college in Dublin back in the early 1990’s and as he says himself having found his way from Mayo shores to Dublin’s bay he wasn’t allowed home again!

He brings with him an abundance of knowledge and experience spanning a career over 20 years in finance, manufacturing, distribution and brand representation. Previously he managed the Fiacla oral care manufacturing plant and most recently a construction and hardware distribution business catering for both UK and Irish markets. The time came for something new and the opening at Wholefoods was an exciting new prospect.

When he’s not at the office, Cillian loves nothing more than to spend time with his young family. He is the proud father to 6 year old twins and a 3 year old and enjoys outdoor activities and exploring his local Marley Park. Cillian tries to lead a healthy lifestyle, starting his day taking Eskimo omega-3 oil, vitamin D and a super once a day to help keep his immune system in good shape. He also thinks that the key to a good diet begins at home through cooking of quality fresh food and believes in healthy snacking, supplementing and exercise for overall good health. He’s really looking forward to working his way through the warehouse trying out all the gorgeous products that we have to offer!

Cillian’s preferred exercise routine is running and while he has previously completed a marathon he now prefers competing at shorter distances of 5 and 10km but has set himself the challenge of running a few half-marathons in 2015. He jokes that he also recently joined the much ridiculed middle aged men in lycra (MAMILS) and can be spotted on his bike in the beautiful Dublin Mountains or sitting in a coffee shop in Enniskerry scoffing some much needed energy snacks!

#FACT: Cillian has an identical twin brother and is a father to twins!
